Safe & Gentle Ear Wax Removal at Home

At Gentle Ears, we provide safe, effective ear wax removal in the comfort of your home. While ear wax is natural and protective, build-up can affect your hearing, balance, and overall comfort. Our calm and professional approach ensures a stress-free experience, helping restore clarity and confidence.

Endoscopic Ear Wax Removal

Endoscopic Ear Wax Removal

Endoscopic ear wax removal is a precise and advanced technique that uses a high-definition micro camera to provide a clear, detailed view inside the ear canal. This real-time visual guidance allows for highly accurate and targeted treatment, making it particularly effective for removing compacted or stubborn wax. The procedure is minimally invasive, quick, and comfortable, offering a modern and reliable solution for ear care. It is especially suitable for adults and older clients who prefer a safe, clinically guided approach to maintaining their hearing health.

Microsuction

Microsuction

Microsuction is widely recognised as the gold-standard method for safe and effective ear wax removal. This advanced technique is suitable for most clients, including those who wear hearing aids, and does not involve the use of water, helping to reduce the risk of infection. The procedure is highly controlled, precise, and comfortable, making it an excellent option for removing hard or impacted wax while ensuring a safe and reassuring treatment experience.

Manual (Dry) Removal Techniques

Manual (Dry) Removal Techniques

In certain cases, specialist manual instruments may be used to safely remove stubborn blockages or foreign objects from the ear canal. These techniques are performed only when clinically appropriate and always with the highest level of care and precision. Tools that may be used include micro-cup forceps, which allow for the accurate removal of foreign bodies, hearing aid domes, or skin debris that may be firmly lodged within the ear canal. Additionally, instruments such as the Jobson Horne probe and St Barts hook are carefully used to gently remove hard or impacted ear wax, ensuring a safe and controlled treatment approach.

Ear Irrigation

Ear Irrigation

Ear irrigation is a gentle warm-water flushing technique designed to safely remove softer ear wax buildup and support routine ear maintenance. The procedure is comfortable and soothing, making it an effective option for clients with softer wax or those who prefer a more traditional method of treatment. It is often recommended when other removal techniques are not clinically suitable and is always carried out following a full ear health assessment to ensure the safest and most appropriate care.
